When people help make something, they connect to it. Live participatory tufting transforms audiences into contributors — and events into shared creative experiences.
For WITW 2025, we delivered a live tufting experience designed around public contribution. Audiences weren’t just observing — they were actively involved in building the final piece.
We structured the activation so participants could safely and confidently take part, guided by our team throughout. This created a shared sense of ownership over the finished work, while still maintaining the professional quality and finish of the final rug.
The live process created an ongoing moment of curiosity within the event space — people returned throughout the day to see progress and watch the artwork evolve.
The completed piece was retained by the organisers, giving the event a lasting creative outcome.
