In 2023, we delivered a participatory live tufting activation where members of the public were invited to contribute directly to a large-scale piece. This hands-on format allowed audiences to step into the making process and experience the craft for themselves.

In 2024, the format shifted to a live demonstration model — focused on showcasing skill, process and technique. This allowed us to present tufting as a performative craft practice, emphasising precision, speed and scale.

Across both years, the work was designed to be visible, accessible and engaging — demystifying the process while creating a strong visual presence within the event.

The final artworks were retained by the organisation, creating a tangible legacy from the live experience.
