In July 2025, we delivered a live tufting activation at Arts Council England, working directly with staff in a shared common area.
We set up a visible, working tufting frame and invited team members to take part in the creation of a logo piece — contributing stitches, learning the process, and experiencing the physicality of tufting first-hand.
The session was designed as a drop-in activity, allowing staff to engage flexibly throughout the day. It created an informal, welcoming space where colleagues could pause, try something new, and connect with each other outside of their usual roles. The activity was funded through an internal wellbeing initiative, supporting creative engagement and staff wellness.
In March 2026, this relationship will be developed further with a dedicated team workshop for a group of four staff members. This smaller-format session will allow for deeper skill-building, collaboration, and focused creative time — offering a more immersive making experience.
